Maria's cybersecurity career spans secure development, risk management, compliance, and information security architecture within highly regulated financial environments — banking, payment processing, data centers, and financial infrastructure. Starting her career in Russia and building deep banking-sector expertise, she went on to earn a degree in cybersecurity from an Australian university. Her career then expanded into international markets — Switzerland, the UK, Africa, and Southern Europe.
This international experience gave her practical insight into how cybersecurity, risk, and compliance work across different regulatory environments, shaping an approach grounded in internationally recognised standards — ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and Zero Trust principles. Her combination of financial-sector experience, deep technical security expertise, and cross-jurisdictional work underpins her strategic approach: aligning security measures with business goals and turning regulatory requirements into practical action.
Maria is known for working equally effectively with technical teams and senior leadership — translating complex cyber threats into clear business risks and concrete decisions that strengthen organisational resilience.
